Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how StudioPilot ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the StudioPilot mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using StudioPilot, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and name. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a verified identifier and an email address from that provider.
- User content. Routines, classes, schedules, and notes you create within the app are stored on our servers so they sync across your devices.
- Support communications. If you email us, we keep a record of that correspondence to help resolve your inquiry.
Information collected automatically
- Usage analytics. We use Mixpanel to collect anonymized event data (e.g., which features are used, session counts) to understand how the app is used and improve it.
- Crash and diagnostic data. We use Sentry to collect crash reports and error diagnostics. These reports may include device model, OS version, app version, and a stack trace of where the error occurred.
- Push notification tokens. If you enable notifications, we receive a device-specific token from Apple Push Notification service to deliver class reminders.
- Subscription information. Subscriptions are processed by Apple via the App Store. We do not receive your payment card details. We do receive a transaction identifier and subscription status from Apple to grant you access to paid features.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To sync your content across your devices.
- To deliver class reminders and other notifications you enable.
- To diagnose crashes and fix bugs.
- To understand product usage in aggregate.
- To respond to your support inquiries.
- To enforce our Terms of Service and prevent abuse.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers. We use third-party providers to operate the Service, including Render (hosting and database), Resend (transactional email), Mixpanel (analytics), Sentry (crash reporting), Apple (authentication, payments, push notifications), and Google (optional sign-in). These providers process information on our behalf under their respective privacy policies.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of StudioPilot, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we anonymize your account profile (email and name are removed) and revoke all authentication credentials. Content you created (such as routines and class history) may be retained in anonymized form for product analytics. You can request full deletion of your content by contacting us at the address below.
5. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and correction. You can view and update your account information from within the app.
- Account deletion. You can delete your account at any time from the in-app Profile screen.
- Notifications. You can disable push notifications in your device's Settings or in-app.
- Marketing email. If we send you marketing email, every message includes an unsubscribe link.
- Regional rights. Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and the right to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
6. Children's Privacy
StudioPilot is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
7. International Users
StudioPilot is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and short-lived access tokens. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you within the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
